Meeting with project leader

Today we met Myresjöhus' Project leader for our house building project together with Magnus who has been our point of contact and the sales person for Myresjöhus. This was a meeting to go through all the details once again before the house arrives on the site and house building starts.

It was just a walk through about what all options we have selected for building the house, what are the next steps and most important... the dead line that is set for the house to be ready for us to move in.

Yes, we have got an indication for when we shall move into the house. As per the details on the paper, the dead line for the final inspection is "no later than" 2nd week of December. So in worst case we shall be able to move into the house in the 2nd week of December. But this is the stretched date, usually this should happen well in advance of the dead line. So the good news is that we shall celebrate "Christmas 2016" in our new house... YAY!! Now we only need to have a little patience. (With we, I mean Ana... she is very impatient).

Later we also visited the site. Today they had put the pipes for the bathroom on the lower level. Also the entrance of the house has been marked.

In the meeting we also got some point of actions to finish some tasks. Now the next thing we need to do is to choose the tiles and floor for both the bathrooms in the house as well as the tiles for the kitchen. Then we also need to decide and finalize what color the walls inside the house should have. Should it be all painted walls, or should we use wallpaper or should it be a mix of both.
The choice of colors is very easy. Me and Ana have no arguments about it. The color of the walls inside the house will be white. But we have also decided that we will have a mix of wall paint (white) together with wall murals (wallpapers with some picture or scenery) on some selected walls. Also, some nice kids themed wallpapers for the kids room.

Now in the next coming weeks we have to reserve some time to have a meeting with the painter and the building contractor so that we can visit the respective shops to finalize the details. Stay tuned for the new updates in the next posts.
